We have things we didn't know we had

Here, about a mile or so from the house, is something very far away from where it came from. Mt. Rainier is in the state of Washington, north of Oregon, and considerably more north of us, in the hot summer sun of inland Southern California.

There is a story somewhere.

I don't know anything about the gorilla either. I just knew I had to snap a couple of pictures, as this looked like blog material to me.

Hi Dan,
I was wondering what that was on the fence. You should've made us guess what it was instead of telling us! You probably would've got some interesting answers. At first glance, I thought that it was a little kid who tried to climb the fence and got stuck.

Hi Dan

I'd have been asking big questions when it comes to the gorilla...

Maybe your area had the nearest hospital?

The ambulance looks kind of old, as in an older model, like it's been parked there for a while. And the gorilla might have been found in the back, where you and I would clutch a teddy bear. A matter of taste, the gorilla!

Hi Daniel, I'm feeling fine; thanks for asking. However, I see that I can't spell outrageous, so I may have to fire my editor. He sits calmly by my side.

Hi Dan,

I *thought* it was a gorilla. I wonder what is its connection to the ambulance? You certainly can find surprising things right in your own area if you go looking...
