Moon rising, across the street from my house

The title says it. My phone camera, though needy, was the better choice at night, here. The moon looks SO much larger when it rises.

Lovely picture! The moon does look big when it rises.

Thanks for your comment, I've learned that Frank Zappa used to live in the Antelope Valley. He graduated from Antelope Valley High School and had a band there too! Also, Judy Garland lived out here too as a child. Her father owned a theater out here.

Hi Dan – here’s an EXCLUSIVE, and it’s especially for you and your family, but I expect you to spread the word, before I ANNOUNCE it.

Pay me a visit and give it a listen. This is the direction that American music seems to be heading – New Orleans and let’s impeach the President. Bruce brings along some fine HOT musicians – count them – 20? And of course his wife Patti sings and plays along. Y’all should be playin’ this music in the shed, the garage, in the attic or the basement – then bring it out onto the street, man! Yeah.

The moon is a great thing, yes it is.
Zappa has been around, hasn't he!

gina:
I'll send that rascal home to you! Sorry he ended up so far from home!

I think you mean the metal driving man? I cannot comment on your blog, nor can I email you, but I did suppose, and I went to the website of the metal driver...what I saw was most cool! I heard an MP3 w/harmonica...great stuff. Saw a band of some kind with banjos and fiddle (?). Great stuff also. Moves me.

Hi Dan,

Haven't visited in a while - families take up some time, don't they? I keep up with Rachel's blog, and sporadically with others, but I'm undisciplined.

I really loved your post on Rachel's today - about not bemoaning what you couldn't have. I am in awe of those guys who follow the Who around across countries and continents, clogging up their credit cards for years. I guess it's a question of priorites, but I think you have yours right.

I was too young to see the band in '67 when they came here, and they didn't visit again until '04, so that is my one and only live Who concert to date. The few times I've been in the UK didn't coincide with concert dates. I don't feel cheated by this, however. I have CD's, videos and DVD's. Not all of them - I am not an obsessive - but a respectable collection.

I hope I will have the opportunity to see the Who again next year if they get this far. Meanwhile, I feel so lucky that they are embracing the technology that brings their live music within my reach. As for ITA ... well, I love it, and will continue to get up at 2 or 3am to watch as often as I can.

Dan, you are a lovely man. You take nice photos, too.
