The day before Christmas...and then after!

The day before Christmas, 85 degrees. What a beautiful day! You can see the contrail from a jet that flew over in the last hour "rising" just over the 8,849 ft. peak above my garage (my house, left, Allen's on the right...otherwise known as "Sunrise Studio"). That jet may well have come from the vicinity of Edward's Air Force Base, home of many Space Shuttle landings.

The day after Christmas, 61 degrees.
Well, no sun here...it was nice while it lasted!

Lucky you! Here in the north we currently have -22 celsius degrees, which, if I converted it correctly, is -7,6 degrees fahrenheit. Brhhh.

That cold? Amazing how different the world can be, is it not?

Notice in the photo of my driveway, the squarish looking car...it is a Scion XB...not my choice, but that is a long story, and when Dan says long, he means much typing...beyond even Dan.

That is my primary vehicle, and the one where I spend many a night listening to THE WHO...in the magnificent solitude of me and the music. The alternative choice is to go inside, where the other six folks are, and listen to baby crying, kids fighting, hair driers, toilets flushing, and C.S.I. on TV...well, the CSI part is cool, since that also is...THE WHO!

Cold weather there? I think that some dogs in packs would do well in your environs, simply because I've seen their behavior in the freezer section of our local grocery store. They seem quite comfortable, and among their happy brothers and other family links (!)

One thing to note...the dogs in the pack, they are in a "party" atmosphere. So it says, so it is. I only observe, they interact.

Last note: word verification was: jqjxbe....notice the "XB", as in my car!

I often need solitude when listening to music. I live in the same flat with my sister though, so often the only option is headphones. Or going for a walk with an mp3 player or a discman. Having some private peace occasionally is important.

Ah, as for the dogs in packs, you are quite correct: they *are* in a party atmosphere. A fascinating subject to research.
