The passing of a very, very interesting man

William F. Buckley Jr.

Though I did not always agree with him, he was a ton of fun. William F. Buckley Jr. died while seemingly at work, in his study, at age 82.

There are many articles available on the web regarding him...for those that wish to know more.

On a lighter note...Happy Birthday, Roger!

Hi Dan- Just popping over to catch up on your blog! While I have not read any of his book I do recall my Grandfather telling me a little about him when he served in the Senate (my Grandpa not Buckley) and saying he was a nice man. I thnk sometimes people can get so caught up in ideas and that is all the person is like and forget we have feelings etc...so it is positve to see you be sweet regarding him! Of course I think you are a positive guy!

Happy B Day Roger. I had the pleasure of meeting him for the first time backstage when the Who came here last year. Very sweet, he got me a drink from the hospitality table, cussed a little at how cold my city was and gave me an infectious smile...great guy!

Have a great rest of your week!
