Happy Mother's Day

My wife, a Mom, in the often snowy and mountainous Wrightwood, California, near our home.

Hey...how many SG's does it take, Pete?

Hey Dan, thanks for the compliment!
Actually, my mic is very cheap, thin and plastic made. But, anyway, I only wish to give an idea of the song...
To put an mp3-file on blog, you have to make an account on googlepages (www.googlepages.com) since you have an ‘e-mail’ address from google, as "gmail" (it's free to create one). When you got the account on googlepage, you can create a webpage in which you can upload all your mp3-files (my webpage, for instance, is http://jungleape.googlepages.com). After uploaded, the location for the mp3-files is definitive, so you can always put a link in you blog redirecting the files to it.
For example, see how I put my tune on the blog:
[a href="http://jungleape.googlepages.com/love-dialog.mp3"]love-dialog.mp3[/a]
I hope this helps you.
p.s.: substitute < for [ and > for ]

Hi Dan,
Hope you're OK - you seem to have a lot going on at the moment. That's family life, eh? Mostly great, often challenging. I love the way you are always so positive and aware of your blessings throughout all life's curve-balls. That's pretty special these days.

Mother's day here was nice, and I was indulged very nicely too. Full breakfast in bed (Sophie, 13), candles and retro '70's holder for light (Emma, 15) and chocs, funky jewellery and a beautiful note (Madeleine, 17). Many females at our house, too!

Colin decided we should have a barbeque to celebrate, so we did that too. Lots of lovely food, wine and laughs. (So why am I still exhausted?)

Love to you and yours,
M.

Hi Dan, I just had another look at your california burning photos. they are brilliant but very scary. I do hope the poor soulds who live there have survived. That must be a living nightmare.

Anyway, I have no children at home any more and I'm afraid mother's day isn't big here, so no treats for this mum ;-( My girls are wonderful though, and they give me love every day of the year one way and another. Thanks for popping in on my blog. Hugs.

Hi Dan!
Thanks for dropping by! I klnow it's been a while since I've been blogging, but I have been busy with school and reading books in my spare time.

I went camping at Silverwood, I'm sure you know that's near Crestline. It was fun, but it was also very windy! just as we were leaving, that's when the weather turned nice!

That is a very nice house up in Wrightwood! I love the houses there! My aunt has a friend that lives up there and my family and I used to go up there to his house. It's very cool! He has a nice big deck with a jacuzzi and a nice guest house in the back.

looks like you guys had a nice mother's day, I made sure my mom had a good one too. I made an egg casseroe and fruit salad for brunch, then I made peachy chicken with white rice for dinner, then to top it all off, I made a apple and butternut squash crumble. That was a lot of hard work! Next year, I will just buy her something really nice and maybe take her out for dinner.

About those fires, that is horrible! I hope that everyone in the Catalina area is OK!
