The Bridge on the River Kwai, winner of multiple Oscars, seen here with Alec Guinness and Sessue Hayakawa, was filmed in Ceylon. It was released in 1957. Though historically inaccurate, it was an excellent movie.

For the rest of today's post, a B-52 photo from the Edwards AFB Air Show last October. In service for nearly 55 years, they are expected to fly until the year 2040. This particular photo was taken by me, It is commonly known as a "dirty pass", flaps down, wheels out.
