Mouse in the house: The Two Losers

The loser cats are pictured here. Misty (Old Loser #1, the gray cat), and Odie (Young Loser #2, black). Here they are, in all of their shame, the morning after the mouse was trapped on a sticky sheet, in non other than our new kitchen!

Yeah, I know...the mouse was the real big loser.

Ohhh - poor mouse! Nice cats though. Sorry I haven't visited for a while - busy as always! You've put some great pics up since I was last here, too. Glad Rachel finally made it to the garage!

Happy No. 1 to the gorgeous Grandboy, and a belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all (wish we had an equivalent here, but we don't. We have Australia Day, but there is no special feast involved, so what sort of a festival is that???)

Really sorry to hear about the dreaded gastro bug. Eurghhh.

On another note, re "The Donut Hole" - here a "hole" is a way of saying somewhere is a real dive, an awful, unsavoury, down-market, grotty place. Cultural differences eh? Mind you, there are towns here which would LOVE to have those big tyre-like donuts on display. We seem to have adopted the US' idea of "The Big ...". We have The Big Pineapple, The Big Banana, The Big Bottle and many more. There's also a Big Bullock somewhere, and his, um, "credentials" are suspended in the appropriate place by a hook and eye. They used to be an integral part of the sculpture, but apparently they lose about fifty sets a year to souvenir hunters, and they wanted to minimise damage. I wonder if the local Chamber of Commerce buys them in bulk before they're needed, so the bullock doesn't have to be a steer for a while each time he's so rudely and publicly emasculated? Anyway, why any souvenir-hunting tourist feels they need a two foot high set of ... well, never mind. As I say - cultural differences!

No idea how I got onto that - apologies for dragging your lovely blog downwards in tone!

And they didn't even have the sense to look ashamed for not doing their job!

Cats are always lucky to be cute.

Dan, I just wanted to say thanks for the kind words you left on Lannio's blog for me. It was very sweet of you. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday/

Those cats are very sweet all curled up like that.

I think I detect much affection from you for them by calling them Losers. ;-)

aah, adorable cats. They look a bit spoiled, like they knew you were going to get the mouse, so they will just lounge around in the meantime!! Very cute pics.

Hi Dan,
Sounds like you've got mice problems too. must be the weather. My cats might have been chasing after the mice too.

You have pretty cats! I don't think they're losers, maybe the mice were too fast for them.

I forgot to say: your black cat looks almost like mine.
