The ants are marching one by one...
Our house is under attack from 451 million ants...or maybe 452 million. This picture is from a game, but this here, in our house, is no game. It's full on war!
(Picture ref. http://www.crashonline.org.uk/ no connection to me, just credit the picture to the site that reviewed the game)

I guess Spring has sprung as far as these little guys are concerned, eh?
Thans for your comments at my blog, Dan, I'm happy to hear you guys are getting DSL! I believe I will start calling you "DL" when the time comes.:)
And Hi to your Rachel and the rest of the Dan clan!Hope you're enjoying your Sunday.:)
I'm wondering if vineager will work, to get them out. If these are carpentar ants, that's kind of serious. They eat wood. Seems a nest is some place, and "in" for sure. I see a few around in spring but nothing like my neighbors have experienced. I believe they've mentioned vineager (sp) to me before. Also, if you have a tree overhanging your roof, the tree could be in need of a trim. Put all sweets in the fridge, to boot.
Sorry for too much practical info, except I hope it helps.

Ginab:
Thank you for your comments on our damn ants. They are very prolific.
I will be in Hayward, Calif., late next week with my daughter, Marion, and her orchestra-marching band from high school. It is a LONG journey, and it promises to be very "invigorating", since I am helping to watch the kids away from home...on the field trip. It will include a visit to Alcatraz, and performances at particular locations. Oh, that also means I will be "blanked" for several days (March 22 and on...) without computer access. Until then...
Peace,

Hi there Dan,
Good luck with the ants. When I was in kindergarten I remember we had to write something about "spring" for a class-wide booklet and I was fascinated by ants and that's what I wrote about. Even though the other kids wrote about flowers, and grass, and sunshine.
But now I know what a torture those little buggers can be. So all the best in ridding your home of them. And safe travels next week. What a great dad.
Be well,
Chris
Hello California Dan. All out war there Eh...Good luck. Danny
