The Last Weekend

On the last weekend of Mr. Pete Townshend's Blog, the weather near my home was like this. It was quite a weekend. I will miss the Blog.

Rachel is home now, our Rachel, after a weekend in other nearby snowy mountains. I pray for all to be well today, as in some places, some families...there is much to pray for.

Hi Dan,

This is a tremendous scenery. How high are those highest mountaintops? Hope Rachel enjoyed her weekend there.

Hi Dan,

That is a pretty picture. I'm glad your Rachel is back home safe and sound. That is always a good feeling.

I miss TBWHM. I mostly just read but I loved it. Hope to see you around blogland.

Hello Dan,

You aspire to write! When I read your draft over to mine, I immediately thought of Samuel Taylor Colleridge, his Rime of the Ancient Mariner. In particular, I remembered this stanza:

And through the drifts the snowy clifts
Did send a dismal sheen:
Nor shapes of men nor beasts we ken--
The ice was all between.

It's a long one, but I think you will enjoy it. Your proximity (sp) alone, with the ocean and the snowy mountains, has me believing.

PS: I'm glad your Rachel is home to tell of her trek. She sounds adventurous.
