- In California, enjoy hiking & mountaineering. I work in the shipping dept. of a major automotive company. I have an A.A.Degree. I am a former aerospace inspector, multiple weapons systems. Am very much about teaching my children about life. They have been raised hanging around Edwards Air Force Base watching the SR-71 Blackbird in it's final years, visiting the Grand Canyon, redwood trees at Big Basin & Big Sur, Catalina Island, cruising up to the magnificent Sierra Nevada mountains, Sunday Mass at many locations -- a California Mission, monastaries, etc. My sweet & beautiful wife, Cruz, means the world to me. I thank God for bringing her to me and blessing us with 4 daughters. Listening to The Who has restored my interest in learning to play guitar. I really enjoy the style of Pete Townshend. That's where I am TRYING to go. I would like to thank Pete Townshend, a man I have only seen on stage, but NOW HAVE MET!..., for putting his novella on a blog. A well-deserved Friday lunch after a long week! Looks delish. Thanks for visiting -- and thanks for commenting on my comment, if that makes any sense. It has been quite a ride this past year with the blog world.
I haven't thought about "Bridge Over the River Kwai" in a long time, but what an incredible film. Alec Guinness is one of my all time favorites. A brilliant actor who could transform completely for a role. And, by all accounts, a consummate gentleman as well. Late in life he published several volumes of diaries that are beautifully written comments on his daily life, puttering around the garden, responding to mail and making the occasional jaunt into London for business or to see a play. He was a gifted writer, too.
Anyway, thanks again for visiting. I played in a softball tournament in Palm Springs two weeks ago and thought of you and Allen as I ventured by on the 10.
