Gonna go to San Francisco. It will be the first time since late 1970's.

I was just up in that area in the spring of last year (2005), but only near Santa Cruz/San Jose. It will great to see the big city again. Yes, we will be visiting "The Rock", Alcatraz.

Me, my daughter Marion, and her school band, all rolling north.

    The escape has always fascinated me, as it would anybody. I know the prison is no longer used and is indeed inhumane, but all relics ... don't you think?

    I have a great pal in SF, by the way. I think there's an independent bookstore on Phoenix street? Ing works there.

    Great stuff at the MOMA, too. A bag in primary colors: women love them.
